Who we are

YWAM St. Moritz is a new pioneering location of Youth With A Mission. We are a family of people committed to living, loving and learning together here in St. Moritz. We are people from different nations, different languages, and different giftings. What unites us is our love for Jesus, our desire to see disciples set free in all nations and our passion for the outdoors.

We want to further the cause of Christ in Switzerland, Europe and the rest of the world.

Vision

We at YWAM St. Moritz love God and love the outdoors. Located in one of the most beautiful mountain valleys of Switzerland, we have plenty of opportunities right in front of our doors. Our vision is to share God’s love in the outdoor sphere and to equip young leaders who go to the nations and engage the world with the transforming message of the Gospel. We are driven by a passion to know God and make Him known.

YWAM International

Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus in the nations. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known. Back when we began in 1960, our main focus was to get youth involved in missions. Today, we still focus on youth, but also people of all ages. We have tens of thousands of staff (called “YWAMers”) from nearly every country.

St. Moritz

St. Moritz is a famous Alpine resort town at an elevation of about 1800m/5910ft. It is the major town in the upper Engadin valley and has been a resort for winter sport since the 19^th century and welcomes many professional athletes each summer for altitude training. Jump in the lake, go on a hike, drink a coffee in town or enjoy a ride to one of the majestic peaks around us.

Engadin

The valley of Engadin attracts many adventure seekers and sport enthusiasts with its stunning mountains and landscape. Tourists

and artists from all over the world love to travel here to enjoy the

spectacular view and experience Swiss culture. This valley offers the only national park of Switzerland, many mountains to scale, lakes to swim in, wonderful mountain bike trails and delicious food. The Olympic winter games were hosted twice, which underlines the strong connection with the heart for sport and tourism.

The blessing of seasons

YWAM St. Moritz runs through the seasons, and there are opportunities year-round here for you to serve and minister. Aside from the Outdoor DTS that runs from July - December, we like to stay active and involved throughout the year. In the summer and fall, there are many rock faces to climb, pristine lakes to swim in, and beautiful hiking trails to trek through. During the winter and spring, the Engadin valley is the perfect region for winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, snowshoe hikes and other winter activities! We have a passion for the outdoors and hearts for the unreached, and we love to combine this to reach out to people with similar interests to us along trails and on the slopes!
